I conducted Speech Writing competition as part of subject related activity.  Students were given the topic Independence day and asked them to preparea speech with in 30 mins. Books and guidance were given by teacher. Students were super excited  and all of them participated in the competition.  All them tried their best to prepare eloquent speeches. Winners were announced and congratulated in the class. The main aim of conducting the competition is to improve the creativity, thinking vocabulary and mainly writing skills of students. And it also helps to improve their historical knowledge.

The week was well spent. Many activities have been conducted in this week. Suffix and Prefix and modal auxiliaries in grammar were taught and activities were given. This helps the children to enrich their vocabulary. Independence day program  was conducted in the school. HM hoisted the Indian national flag. It was a great success and cultural program were conducted as part of  celebration. The speech writing competition was conducted as part of subject related activity. I used flash cards, activity cards, ICT to show videos and pictures, charts and blackboard as my teaching aids.                                                      I ntroduction Creativity may be defined as the ability or capacity of a person to discover and explore new ideas or areas to create a new process, including the rearrangement or reshaping of what already exists. It is the ability to evolve new approaches, forms and new materials. Teaching in innovative ways keep students engaged and excited.  A change from routine classes would increase student's interest and make them more Creative, interactive and attentive. Thus an innovative idea in teaching is always necessary to keep the class active and productive.  As a part of the B.Ed Curriculum, we had to do an Innovative Work. In the second phase of Teaching Practice, I opted an  Innovative Work based on the 'Figures of speech'.   The innovative work is based on the lesson 'Song of Dream' in the unit 'Bonds of love' of nineth standard. Conscientization program was conducted on the topic AWARNESS ON UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD. The motto of the program was NO WAR NATION. The program was conducted on Hiroshima Nagasaki day. Awareness classes were given to students on the importance of protecting peace and harmony of nation and about the universal brotherhood which are the prominent themes of peace education. The classes are followed  with oath taking ceremony. As part of the program poster making competition was conducted on the topic  No War- Hiroshima Nagasaki day. The students were super excited and participated well in the  competition. All posters were displayed in the school corridor. The winners were selected and prizes were distributed. 

I conducted Word puzzle game as part of subject related activity.  Students were given the above puzzle cards and asked them to solve it. The first three students to solve it are winners. Students were super excited  and all of them participated in the competition.  All them tried their best to solve puzzle. Winners were announced and congratulated in the class. The main aim of conducting the competition is to improve the creativity, thinking and vocabulary skills of students. And it also helps to improve their mental abilities.
