                                                    Introduction

Creativity may be defined as the ability or capacity of a person to discover and explore new ideas or areas to create a new process, including the rearrangement or reshaping of what already exists. It is the ability to evolve new approaches, forms and new materials. Teaching in innovative ways keep students engaged and excited. A change from routine classes would increase student's interest and make them more Creative, interactive and attentive. Thus an innovative idea in teaching is always necessary to keep the class active and productive. As a part of the B.Ed Curriculum, we had to do an Innovative Work. In the second phase of Teaching Practice, I opted an Innovative Work based on the 'Figures of speech'.

The innovative work is based on the lesson 'Song of Dream' in the unit 'Bonds of love' of nineth standard. The innovative work was prepared to teach Figures of Speech.  This work is prepared to the needs of all learners. This innovative work help students to understand the portion rather than rote learning.  It makes them creative and productive. It promoted creative thinking and positive attitude to grammar.
